On 8th July we celebrated our 3rd annual celebration event with pupils and parents. Pupils were nominated for the award by teachers and adults in the school when it was believed they had made a significant amount of progress, shown a brilliant attitude or effort towards their learning or had made an exceptional achievement.

Alongside the giving out of awards in subjects there was an Art gallery of all the best work pupils had completed this year. There was GCSE pieces, clay models, canvas pictures and many more. There was also work from DT and English too. It was great to see pupils showing parents their work and many parents were proud of the level of work not just of there child but of others in the school. Special thanks to Mrs Adkins for putting this together and the pupils for allowing us to display their work.

Once parents, pupils and staff had eaten and shared some time mingling it was time to give out the awards and prizes.

1 by 1 pupils came up to receive their awards. These were from attendance, Maths and English all the way through to lifeskills. All elements of our curriculum supports our learners development into adulthood so have equal importance.

There was also a prestigious award for DofE where 5 learners completed the bronze award.

Overall it was a lovely event which further demonstrated The Pinetree Community. A big thank you to all the staff who helped oragnise, parents who supported the event and well done to all the pupils who were nominated and won awards.
